Michel Padron, a trumpeter of Cuban origin, has been an influential figure in the UK's music scene since 1998. As the leader and musical director of Asere, a Latin ensemble with collaborations boasting musical legends such as Billy Cobham and Cesaria Evora, Padron exemplifies expertise in Afro Cuban and Salsa jazz. Sharing the stage is Jim Blomfield, a pianist, composer, and arranger, celebrated for his versatility and chosen by some of the UK's foremost jazz artists as their preferred accompanist.
Completing the quintet are accomplished musicians, Jon Clark on drums, Jason Gaines on congas, and Roshan ‘Tosh’ Wijetunge on bass. This dynamic ensemble ensures an evening of pulsating rhythms, artistic finesse, and the captivating allure of Latin jazz.
