Thieves net �1,500 fish from Barnstaple shop

THIEVES have stolen �1,500 of ornamental fish from a Barnstaple garden centre. More than ten koi carp and half a dozen diamond sterlets were taken from Maidenhead Aquatics, based at St John s Garden Centre between 9pm on Tuesday and 9am today (Wednesday).

More than ten koi carp and half a dozen diamond sterlets were taken from Maidenhead Aquatics, based at St John's Garden Centre between 9pm on Tuesday and 9am today (Wednesday).
It is feared the fish will die very soon if not given proper care and conditions.
Police are appealing for anyone with information, or who is offered the fish for sale, to contact them on 08452 777444 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
