TORRIDGE youngsters have an opportunity to show the Spanish that there is some good English footballing talent on the horizon.
The district council is on the lookout for young footballers to play in a friendly 5-a-side tournament against Spanish students here on holiday.
The council's lead member for youth, Councillor Roger Johnson, is organising an event at Sandymere Sports Complex this Saturday between 2pm and 4pm.
Budding Beckhams aged between 13 to 16 years are welcome to take part in the free cross-cultural event, but must register beforehand with the council's sports and recreation officer.

Mr Johnson said: "It's going to be a wonderful afternoon's football. A real chance to make new friends and show the World Champions that English footballers can play! It's the World Cup final that we all wanted!"
Asda will be providing half time refreshments.
