Instow will be invaded by more scarecrows than ever before this bank holiday weekend. From Saturday to Monday hunters are invited to join the Instow Scarecrow Trail and seek out more than 50 scarecrows dotted around the village, Instow School and West Yelland. Now in its third year and bigger and better than ever, the event has been sponsored and supported by Northwood Property Services and all proceeds will go to Instow School PTFA. Trail sheets are now available at £1 each from Johns of Instow and Graylings Fish and Chip Shop at Fremington. Hunters are invited to vote for their favourite scarecrows and the top three will win prizes. On Sunday and Monday cream teas and refreshments will be available for hungry hunters at All Saints Chapel, Anstey Way, Instow, from 2-4pm.
