SIR - Re: 'Cyclists don't own Trail' - When I walk along the Tarka Trail I feel like saying 'thank you' to the cyclist who rings his/her bell because they've given good warning that they're going to pass and therefore don't make me jump out of my skin, as you can't usually hear them approach otherwise! And anyway I'm fairly sure there's a law that states a cyclist must have a bell and must ring it when appropriate e.g. when coming up behind a pedestrian!
