Swimbridge Church of England Primary School has been rated outstanding by the Church of England.
A Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection of the school took place in March.
The inspection rates schools on how well the Christian values and religious education are being taught in the school.
In his report, inspector Reverend David Hatrey said Christian values and spirituality were ‘intrinsically woven into all aspects of school life’.
He added that children were also making good academic progress in line with national expectations.
Headteacher Sandra Tibbles said: “We pride ourselves on our Christian vision which aims to inspire, enable and educate for life in all its fullness.
“It is wonderful to have formal recognition that we enable all children to feel successful and make progress in all aspects of their learning and development.”
The school’s SIAMS inspections are additional to ones carried out by Ofsted.
It was rated outstanding in all areas when it was inspected by Ofsted in February 2013.
