RURAL safety and crime prevention are the themes at a Country Networking event in Swimbridge this Saturday.Farmers and equestrian enthusiasts in particular are invited to Swimbridge Jubilee Hall to find out what help and advice is on offer to ensure their property, livestock and themselves stay safe.Road safety information will be available from the police and ROSPA and it is being run in conjunction with the Devon County Council Country Mile Project which helps promote safe driving on the A377 and A361.Numerous agencies will also be in attendance, including the Devon and Cornwall Police Traffic unit, British Horse Association, Country Watch, Horse Watch and a Devon County Council community driving instructor. Free tack marking will be available too.The free event is open to all and runs from 9.30am until 2pm. More information on the Country Mile Project can be found at www.devon.gov.uk.
