DESPITE this week's gloomy Met Office predictions that the recent spell of wet weather will endure well into August, North Devon thronged with holidaymakers as the sun made a welcome return yesterday (Thursday).

Following weeks of rain, thousands of families flocked to the coastal hotspots, all keen to soak up a brief respite in the deluge.
