Student’s big design break

A GCSE student is thrilled to see his design being sent across the district.

A WORK experience student will see his own design sent through the doors of homes across North Devon.

Lewis Osborne, 16, from Barnstaple, designed a birthday card for electors’ 18th birthdays for the planning department of North Devon Council last summer.

Lewis, who is currently studying art and graphics GCSEs at The Park Community School, took on the challenge for the electoral department during a work experience placement.

He said: “I want to be a graphic designer and this work experience has helped me build my confidence and gain valuable experience.
