Several North Devon businesses have been shortlisted for the Devon Tourism Awards 2015. Attractions, hotels and catering providers have made it in to 11 categories of the competition, which is now in its sixth year and run in association with Visit Devon. Highbullen Hotel at Umberleigh has been named in the large hotel category and is up for the Venue and Business Tourism Award. The Milky Way and RHS Garden Rosemoor will battle it out with Pennywell Farm in Buckfastleigh for the title of Large Attraction of the Year. Calvert Trust Exmoor at Kentisbury is a finalist in the Access and Inclusivity category, while Bidefords Ultimate Adventure Centre will be bidding for the title of Active and Sporting Experience winner. Hele Valley Holiday Park in Ilfracombe is seeking the title of Holiday Park and Holiday Village of the year. Two North Devon venues compete for Restaurant of the Year, with Northcote Manor Hotel and The Coach House by Michael Caines at Kentisbury in the running. The pair also battle in the Small Hotel of the Year section. Eastacott Barton at Umberleigh is in the Self Catering category. Hartland House Spa was highly commended in the Spa and Wellbeing Experience section. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on November 26 at the Holiday Inn in Plymouth, hosted by Judi Spiers along with a special guest.
