A new summer season of Sunday afternoon music at Ilfracombe's sea front bandstand has been announced.From now until the end of August, a variety of silver, brass, marching, youth and even jazz bands will be playing at the bandstand in Runnymede Gardens each week, weather permitting.The programme is organised by Ilfracombe and District Tourist Association but is only made possible by sponsorship from organisations and businesses around the town.Each performance runs from 2-4pm and this Sunday will feature the Two Rivers Wind Ensemble, followed on Sunday of next week (June 29) by the South Molton Town Band. Bideford Town Band will play on July 6 and the Two Rivers return on July 13.The season closes with a visit by the Alas Jazz band on Sunday, August 24 and then Watchet Royal British Legion Band will play the final concert on August 31.This year the bands have been sponsored by: AFS Fire Security, Filers Travel, High Street Traders, Ilfracombe Art Society, Ilfracombe Rotary Club, Ilfracombe Tourist Association, Ilfracombe Town Council, Ilfracombe Wholesale Grocer, John Fowler, Lambda UK, Pall Ilfracombe, Rodds Electrical.
