STAGECOACH is doing its bit to help its passengers to beat the credit crunch by unveiling a new package of cheaper bus fares on all its North Devon services.From this Monday, the company's "Megarider" ticket has been reduced from £10 to just £7.50 per week, offering weekly, unlimited travel around the region.Passengers can now also make any single journey on the Atlantic 21 service between Barnstaple and Bideford for just £1.Tony Simmons, Stagecoach operational manager for North Devon said that during a time of ever-increasing bills, the Megarider offered "unrivalled" value for money."We hope these new fares illustrate just how committed Stagecoach is to providing the greatest possible value to its customers," he said."The Megarider is already used by thousands of passengers across the region, either to get to work, college or for pleasure, and I'm sure this reduced fare will come as welcome news."We also hope it will encourage even more people to take the bus instead of relying on their cars."A special annual North Devon Megarider ticket is also available on-line for the special introductory price of £250, a saving of £140.
