POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing incident in South Molton on Monday evening.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the back in the Market Street area at around 10.45pm.
Police patrolling the town centre area were flagged down and alerted to the incident.
The victim was stabbed by what is believed to be a small two-inch bladed weapon. He was taken to hospital where his condition was found not to be life-threatening.

A 31-year-old man is in custody helping police with their inquiries.
