2023 is going to be a very special year for North Devon Cricket Club, as they celebrate 200 years of willow and wickets.
NDCC was founded in 1823 and moved to their current ground at Instow in 1836. To mark this momentous year in their history, the club is planning a number of events throughout 2023, as well as looking to build on a fourth-placed finish in the Tolchards Devon Cricket League this year.
The club currently boasts four senior teams, competing in the Devon and North Devon Cricket Leagues, plus a thriving Colts section for the next generation of talent and the recently-formed Tarka Ladies, bringing female cricket to Instow.
The wonderful ground is rightly regarded as one of the very best in the south-west. Situated at the junction of the Taw and Torridge rivers, the home of North Devon Cricket Club is a beautiful place.
There have so many fantastic players and characters to represent NDCC over the past 200 years and the recent alumni includes England international Craig Overton, Australia batsman Chris Rogers and South African star Kyle Verryne.
Keep an eye on the club’s website and social media pages for news on the 2023 events and a very special cricketing birthday.
