SIR - I was in my office at the Civic Centre this morning (Thursday) when this splendid
sound of aircraft engines from days gone by was heard.
Looking out of the window, there was the Lancaster flying by in the direction of Chivenor where it turned across the river and disappeared to the south.
A real treat to see thissplendid aircraft aloft to remember those who gave their lives for us.
