Spare us

SIR - Do we really want yet more traffic on our already over-crowded road network in and around the area between the Heywood roundabout and Appledore to accommodate the proposed marina with 300 residential units? I think not.

If these “here today, gone tomorrow adventurers” are hell bent on destroying our ever dwindling green acreage in the name of progress, may I suggest a system of off and on roads from the marina complex, up and over the river connecting into and away from the Torridge Bridge, thereby leaving the rest of us unfortunates who use the roads daily, spared from what I can only describe as a traffic Armageddon.

Douglas Kenny,
