PLANS to build 47 new homes in South Molton have been withdrawn by developers.The Pegasus Retirement Homes Plc application for homes on land off Widgery Drive, by South Molton Community Hospital, was received by North Devon Council planners in March, 2008.Meanwhile, plans have been submitted for eight new "mews-style" homes on land by the Old Coaching Inn pub, in Queen Street.Developers are proposing a residential development comprising seven two-bedroom and one three-bedroom homes.A statement submitted to planners by agent Woodward Smith on behalf of the applicant said the development that would deliver "attractive and affordable" homes on a brownfield site located within the town's conservation area.
