South Molton Carnival, takes place tomorrow (Saturday).

The procession, organised by South Molton Rotary Club, will assemble on Southley Road and set off on a circular route around the town at 6pm.

Rotarian Peter Hardwick said: “This is probably the largest single annual Community event in South Molton.

“Its continuation relies entirely upon the support of the local population, businesses and organisations.

“This year we have had tremendous support from over 40 local businesses who have given the event financial or other forms of sponsorship.”

Before the carnival itself, carnival queen Summer Warren will be crowned in the Pannier Market at 12noon.

Summer will be attended by princess Faith Symonds and pageboy Cameron Hosker.

Entry forms are available from the Rotary Shop, Webbers Estate Agency and The Amory Centre.

Or you can still turn up on the day from 4.30pm and report to the carnival gazebo in Southley Road.
