A South Molton care company has been rated outstanding by care watchdogs just 14 months since its launch.

Home Instead Senior Care North Devon and Exmoor was inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in July.

It was rated outstanding both overall and for its care and leadership, and was rated good in all other areas.

A summary from CQC said Home Instead, which cares for adults over 65 years of age with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and physical disabilities, said people ‘received outstanding individualise care’ and people were put ‘at the heart of the service’.

Owner Adam Crispin said: “I am so proud of everything we have achieved and in such a short time, to receive an outstanding rating is the icing on the cake.

“My initial aim was to provide a service which was rewarding, which benefitted the local community and was truly meaningful. Praise must go to the wonderful team here at Home Instead.

“We all believe in the same ethos and values and we take great care in ensuring all our caregivers are matched with their clients so they share like-minded interests, helping them to keep active and living life to the full.”
