SOPRANO star Lesley Garrett grandly reopened the Plough Arts Centre’s bar after it was devastated by flooding in December.

The self-proclaimed ‘Doncaster Diva’ performed her songs and regaled the audience with her stories, before agreeing to officially open the new bar.

Staff, volunteers and local tradesmen worked round the clock to refurbish the bar area in time for the sold-out evening on Thursday.
