Somersault Festival says land at Castle Hill Estate needs ‘time to recover’ after weather conditions this year.

The organisers of Somersault festival have announced they will be ‘taking a break’ next year.

The news comes after discussions with Lord and Lady Arran over the state of the estate following this year’s torrential conditions.

A spokesman for Somersault said: “Following this year’s weather conditions and subsequent discussions with the estate, both Lord and Lady Arran and the Somersault festival organisers recognise the need to take a break and allow the land some time to recover.

“It’s been wonderful to have the opportunity to organise such a unique festival within the stunning grounds at Castle Hill, enjoyed by a record 30 thousand people over its inaugural two years.

“We’d like to thank our devoted audience, our talented festival team and our amazing partners for the many incredible memories and we look forward to bringing Somersault back to Castle Hill soon.”
