A road has been closed near Snapper after a two-car collision this morning (Thursday).

The road between Barnstaple and Chelfham has been closed in both directions following the accident, which occurred at around 8.40am.

One man was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police were notified by the ambulance service at 8.40am on November 22 of a two car collision at Snapper between Goodleigh and Barnstaple.

“One man has been taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs but injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

“The road was blocked and both vehicles are currently being recovered.”
