Fire fighters were called out to Croyde this morning (Monday) and had to call for backup after discovering flames issuing from chimney.

Fire fighters attended a chimney fire at a farm in Croyde this morning (Monday).

A crew from Braunton arrived at Combas Farm at 8.53am to find smoke and flames issuing from the chimney.

They called for backup from Woolacombe white a crew investigated the source of the fire.

The chimney pot was unstable so this was removed.

The fire was then extinguished using chimney gear and thermal imaging cameras.
