Customers at ASDA Bideford filled a trolley with donations within the first hour.

Bideford Foodbank volunteers were out in force gathering donations off shoppers at ASDA Bideford on Friday.

Customers were handed a shopping list at the store’s entrance with a list of non perishable items that would be of use to the charity.

Within the first hour, the volunteers had already collected a whole trolley-full of goods.

The Foodbank will be opening the doors to its new premises on the High Street today (Wed).

Anyone interested in donating items to the Foodbank can do so by visiting 21 High Street, Bideford, or online at www.bideford.foodbank.org.uk/
