A Bideford artist has created quite the talking point with a giant shark in Butcher’s Row.
Shoppers in Bideford might find themselves looking straight into the jaws of a fearful beast.
But the shark, which has crashed through the window of the Curious Creatures Gallery, is harmless.
It is in fact the creation of sculptor Ned Morgan – and is made from an old spin dryer and metal waste bin.
Ned told the Gazette: “Years ago I remember seeing a large shark sculpture someone had made crashing into a house roof.
“It was going to be big so I thought if it ‘crashed’ through the shop window it would fit, and be a bit of an attraction.
“Butchers Row could be ideal for a larger sculpture hanging in the roof though.”
