YOUNG people who are not in education, employment or training can try new skills in an opportunity being offered by Seize the Moment Ltd.DJ/MC workshops, animation and film making, graffiti art workshops, break dance, music technology and other skills, including IT and web design, are included in a unique eight-week course.The course is open to 12 young people between the ages of 13 and 25 who have skills they wish to learn or to develop. It aims to reach those who have skills which are not usually recognised in mainstream education and will teach how to be better at getting work or how to use talents to make a self-employed income. Training will be every Thursday for eight weeks at The Source cafe at WINGS Bideford.Course tutors are all members of Seize the Moment Ltd, a group which works to empower young people, and participants will have support workers to enable them to make the best from this opportunity.Places are free and the course is funded by the Devon Step Up Fund.
