Second alderman award at Northam

Richard Bradford MBE honoured for his work on behalf of the council.

NORTHAM Town Council has bestowed the title of honorary alderman on former mayor Richard Bradford MBE.

Mr Bradford served as mayor between 1980-81, 1992-93 and from 1999-2000, spanning a period of 24 years.

The presentation followed a week after the council awarded the same honour to Keith Evers, who was also mayor in three different decades.

Mr Bradford was accompanied at the presentation by his wife Betty, son David, daughter Julie, grandson Colin and family friends.
