POLICE, coastguard, the search and rescue helicopter from Chivenor and two RNLI teams from Appledore launched a huge search after two teenagers were reported missing in the early hours of Sunday morning after their clothes were found on a local beach.

The pair had gone swimming in the sea at Croyde, apparently after drinking and there was concern for the 18-year-olds' welfare.

But they were both found safe and well after coming ashore some distance from where they got into the water.
