A cake delivery man who disappeared whilst making deliveries in North Devon during last week's bad weather has still not been found.Police, emergency services and the RAF search and rescue helicopter from Chivenor have carried out extensive searches for Christopher Smith, aged 45, after his red Citroen Berlingo was found at Welcombe yesterday (Sunday.)He had not been seen since Thursday, but police have said there is no reason why the Crediton man should have gone missing and all inquiries have so far failed to find him.The RAF Sea King from Chivenor carried out a coastal search yesterday afternoon following the discovery of his van, but to no avail.Mr Smith is described as 5ft 7 inches tall and of slim build. He is clean shaven and has collar length black hair. He was last known to be wearing a blue jacket, a blue fleece and blue jeans with black shoes. He wears metal-rimmed spectacles.Anyone who has seen Mr Smith or his van - registration W56 WTA - over the weekend is asked to call police on 08452 777444, quoting log number 971 050209.
