SEA cadets in Ilfracombe will be holding an open day complete with Daleks on Saturday to celebrate a permanent home of their own.The building in Ropery Road used by the cadets of TS Capstone has been left to them in the will of owner Joy Hayward and on Saturday a plaque will be unveiled to commemorate this. The open day, which runs from 10.30am until 4pm, will be an opportunity to show what the Sea Cadets are all about and encourage both young people and adults to come along, find out more and perhaps get involved. It is a double celebration as the unit is also launching its new five-metre RiB boat and, weather permitting, there will be opportunities for visitors to enjoy a ride in it.There will also be a craft fayre, together with a Dr Who collection on display, including Daleks!
