THE new laboratories at Chulmleigh Community College were not the only buildings to be given a seriously scientific workout during National Science Week.The classrooms have already been a big hit with students since they were officially opened at the start of the year. But on Thursday, the whole school became a "lab" for the day as Year Seven, Eight and Nine students were given the chance to abandon their usual lesson plans in favour of a day of scientific discovery.The wonders of biology, chemistry and physics were brought to life by a host of visitors to the school, as part of a packed timetable of events and activities."It's been a really good day and the students have loved it," said school spokesperson Sandy Shrimpton."They have shown real interest and have been asking loads of interesting questions and wanting to know more about the various activities.
