SIR - I am writing in as I went to Bideford to see the lights being turned on. It was a really fun day but I was really sad to see the children of St Mary's School, bideford, having to sing in the rain while other performers got to go onto the under-cover stage on the Quay.
The children did really well and sang their little hearts out. It was just a shame they could only do three songs as their song sheets were too wet. Maybe next year we can be more prepared for the weather!!
Ms Gallagher,
Bideford.
