TO celebrate National Tree Week, West Buckland School will be undertaking a tree planting project on the school site as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations which conclude this month.Head of Biology Noah Shawcross, will supervise the planting of 960 native, broadleaved trees, which have been donated by the charity Tree Appeal. The work will be undertaken by current pupils, parents and members of the OWBA (Old West Buckland Association)North Devon MP, Nick Harvey will visit the school on Monday, November 24 to plant the first tree.The school is keen to sponsor a similar tree planting project at its partnership school, Agoro Oyombe Secondary School in Kenya and, if everyone who plants a tree at West Buckland is willing to pay £2, they will be able to plant trees at the school in Kenya..
