School receives shining Ofsted inspection

Monkleigh Primary School are extremely pleased with the results of their Ofsted report

MONKLEIGH Primary School was thrilled to receive a shining Ofsted report this month.

The school was praised in the report for its “outstanding care, guidance and support,” and received good and outstanding comments all round.

The report, published this month, stated: “It is an extremely caring community in which all groups of pupils achieve well.”

It continues: “Around the school, the pupils’ politeness and keen sense of moral responsibility to support each other is exemplary. For example, one girl happily gave up her skipping rope in the playground, so her friend could demonstrate her own skills.

Co-head teachers David Ellis and Karen Reeves were extremely pleased with the results of the inspection carried out in November.

They added: “We are extremely pleased with this report. All the staff, children, parents and governors deserve the high praise Ofsted have given the school.”
