St Helen’s in Abbotsham set pupils the task of cycling the entire length of Uganda for charity.

A primary school has collectively cycled the entire length of Uganda for charity.

Pupils at St Helen’s CoE Primary School in Abbotsham pulled together to ride 787km on exercise bikes outside the school’s entrance.

It took them a week to complete the ‘riding to break the cycle’ challenge and was raising money for the charity Edukid.

Teacher Ben Kent said: “Edukid are a local charity which helps children go to school in Uganda.

“As a school we sponsor four children so we challenged our pupils to cycle Uganda.”
