TIPS on how to save for Christmas will be given at a series of meetings in North Devon next month.The Save Xmas course, run by South West Pound, is free and takes about an hour.It explains what options are available when saving for Christmas.Save Xmas was launched by the Office of Fair Trading following the collapse in 2006 of Farepak, a Christmas hamper and voucher company.Marilyn Anscombe, of South West Pound, said: "Lots of people in North Devon are struggling to make ends meet as rising food and fuel prices hit home, so good advice about saving for Christmas is more important than ever."These workshops can help make sure North Devon residents have a happy Christmas by saving sensibly for all the extra expense."The presentations will include a film and question and answer session and are suitable for all.They will be held at Meddard House, Bevan Road, Barnstaple, on February 12 from 10am; The Candar Centre, Ilfracombe, on February 19 at 10.30am; Old Pathfinder Centre, Candar, Ilfracombe, on February 19 at 12.30pm; and at Tumble Tots, Yeo Valley School, Barnstaple, at 9.30am on February 25.For more information, call South West Pound on 0800 316 9296.
