A Barnstaple man is due to complete his world record attempt to run the entire South West Coast Path today (Thursday). The Gazette reported how Mark Berry, 53, from Bishops Tawton was hoping to beat the current record, which stands at 14 days and six hours. He has been making steady progress after setting off last week, and today is due to complete the journey in Minehead, on day 12. Mark, who had never run before he turned 50, has been posting a blog on Facebook about this adventure. Yesterday he ran through North Devon, and was joined by many friends and family members along the way. His latest blog post revealed he was starting to feel a little tired - a break in the resilience he has shown so far as he pushes through. Mark has currently raised more than £4,900 of his £6,300 target for the charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
