SIR - I am a volunteer and Trustee of the RSPCA North Devon Branch. Like many charities we are feeling the effects of the recession etc. and donations and income has been drastically reduced. We receive no funding from the RSPCA HQ and have to raise all our own funds.
We are therefore planning a calendar of fund-raising events in the hope we can keep our Branch running. The first event I am personally organising will be the 'March Mile' a sponsored dog walk to be held on March 21 at Northam Burrows Country Park, starting at 11am.
All dogs will receive a goody bag and a small prize will be awarded to the person collecting the most sponsorship. More details are available from me on (01237) 477293.
We would also like to hear from anyomne who would be willing to hold a fund-raising event for us, or woluld be interested in joining our volunteer team

Any help in promoting our efforts on behalf of the animals of North Devon will be most gratefully received.
