THANKS to sponsorship by the Barnstaple Hyundai garage, the annual Rotary Megadraw fund-raiser is off and running again to raise thousands of pounds for clubs and good causes. The draw, now in its seventh year, has raised more than 100,000 for Participating clubs and organisations which number about 100 each year. The concept is simplicity itself as the Rotary clubs do all the administration, supply the tickets and all the prizes, then clubs and organisations in need of funds sell the tickets and keep all of the money.Megadraw flies in the face of the saying "If it is too good to be true it probably isn't" as with Megadraw it really is true!Despite the problems in the car industry at the moment,Dan Tregaskes, the Centre Principal of Hyundai Barnstaple has sponsored the printing this year and numerous prizes have already been donated, including money for the three top prizes. The draw will take place at the Ex-Servicemen's club in St George's Road, Barnstaple on November 25, leaving plenty of time for any club, PTA, choir, etc., to apply for an allocation of tickets to sell, bearing in mind that all they have to do is sell the tickets and return the counterfoils to Rotary and keep the money. As the tickets start to be distributed the Rotary Clubs involved are seeking those who haven't raised funds by the Megadraw method to apply as it really is true - they can keep all the money raised for their good cause!
