BARNSTAPLE Link Rotary Club has opened a charity shop in the former Warrens Bakery premises at the end of the Barnstaple High Street.The shop is the latest new fund-raising idea for the Club, which is persuading all the Rotarians in the area to raid their lofts, attics, box rooms etc for unwanted items. Quality furniture and household goods, collectibles, books, pictures, bikes, CDs, DVDs, fashion and even tested electrical items will be on sale to raise funds for local good causes.The shop will be open for just one month."The response from Rotarians and the public has been brilliant. We have a shop crammed full of interesting items, from church pews to soft toys," said organiser and keen golfer Keith Rogers.While Rotarians to have stocked the shop, they would still welcome donations from the public who can contact David Pennyfield on (01271) 372721
