Rotarians off to Brazil

BIDEFORD Bridge Rotary Club member Mike Champion will next month be leading a group of young Devon business people on a trip to Brazil. As part of the Rotary International group study exchange programme Psychotherapist Mike will lead the trip to Santa Cat

BIDEFORD Bridge Rotary Club member Mike Champion will next month be leading a group of young Devon business people on a trip to Brazil.

As part of the Rotary International group study exchange programme Psychotherapist Mike will lead the trip to Santa Caterina for four weeks from May 8.

While there, the Devon members, aged 25-40, will stay in the homes of fellow Rotarians and shadow colleagues in similar occupations in that country to gain an insight into their culture and different ways of working.

At the same time, a similar group from Brazil will be in Devon, hosted by Ilfracombe Rotary club for part of their visit, and will make presentations to local Rotary clubs.

When the Devon group returns its members will be invited to speak at Rotary clubs throughout the county, who are sponsoring their trip.

They will also bring back information and their experiences to their own places of business.
