Motorists advised not to try to use the A386 until temporary traffic lights have been installed at Beam Quarry.
Temporary traffic lights are being installed on the A386 after a landslide last week.
Five ‘large’ trees were brought down in the slide at Beam Quarry, and the road has been closed since.
A Devon County Council spokesman said: “The road is still closed as some more debris fell onto the road over the weekend.
“Temporary traffic lights are due to be installed today. Once these are in place, the road will be reopened.
“Until these lights are in place the road motorists should not attempt to use the road.”
