Team will travel through eight countries in four days to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust and Rainy Day Trust

A team from RGB Building Supplies will be taking on a trans-European road trip to raise money for two charities.

Clive Johnson, Ian Roulestone, Nathan Thompson and Barnstaple store manager Lee Kift will be taking on the Pavestone Rally in September - a four-day trek from Dover to Monte Carlo.

Rally participants can only drive a car costing less than £500, with the RGB team plumping for a £300 Volvo V70.

The group will pass through eight countries, completing challenges and wearing fancy dress to raise funds for the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Lee said: "Both charities do fantastic work and we're really looking forward to taking part in the Pavestone Rally to raise money for them.

"RGB Building Supplies has generously paid the entry fee for each team member so 100% of the money we raise will go to the charities.

"We're aiming for a total of £6,000 and would like to say a big thank you to the customers, suppliers and colleagues who have already made donations."

The Rainy Day Trust provides support and financial grants to people who have worked in the UK's home improvement industries who are in need, while the Teenage Cancer Trust provides life-changing care and support so young people don't have to face cancer alone.
