Repeat offender is jailed

Fremington man given 20-week sentence

A REPEAT offender has been jailed for 20 weeks following a string of crimes.

Curt Rothery, 21, of Aspen Grove, Fremington, had already pleaded guilty to two charges of using words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress to two probation officers.

He had also admitted a criminal damage charge relating to a smashed window at Barnstaple’s Tavern in the Town pub on December 11 last year, and to breaching the terms of a community sentence, issued in June for assaulting a police officer and shoplifting.

An application for a CRASBO, an Anti-Social Behaviour Order made on the back of criminal conviction, was also made at Thursday’s hearing at Exeter Magistrates’ Court. The application was adjourned until February 24.
