PEOPLE living in North Devon who have not yet registered to vote are being urged to do so, following the announcement of a General Election on May 6.
North Devon Council is asking residents who have not registered themselves on the electoral roll to do so, or risk losing their chance to vote.
Judith Dark, Elections Officer said: "On past elections, we have received a number of calls on election day from people who have gone to a polling station only to find that they cannot vote and unfortunately this is because they have failed to complete and return their registration form - don't let this happen to you!"
The last date anyone can register to vote for this election is April 20.
