THE Red Arrows display team will carry out a fly past in Barnstaple tomorrow (Wednesday) and are due to fly over the town from 12.39pm.

The team will fly over the bridges in formation to mark the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and to promote the annual Wings Appeal.

The aircraft will approach Barnstaple from the Exeter direction at a height of between 500 and 1,000 feet depending on the weather.

The fly past has been arranged by the North Devon branch of the Royal Air Force Association, which hopes that crowds will line both bridges, the water front and estuary to watch the spectacle.
