Duo complete colourful challenge in memory of of grandma.
TWO sisters from Ilfracombe have taken part in a colourful fun run held in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.
Kim and Zoe St Barbe joined nearly 1,000 runners in the UK’s first ever Rainbow Run, held in Bristol earlier this month.
During the 5km run, participants pass through five ‘rainbow stations’ where they were showered with bright powder paint by children’s hospice volunteers.
The sisters raised more than £500 in memory of their grandmother, who died unexpectedly last month and asked that any money raised at her funeral be donated to Little Bridge House
Kim and Zoe, who both completed the course in 30 minutes, said: “We wanted to raise as much money as possible for this great charity in memory of our amazing grandma, who dedicated most of her adult life to bring us up.”
The ‘sell-out- event has so far raised £75,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.
