TWO queens have been chosen in Torrington and the royal retinues who will accompany them when they rule over the town's annual May Fair celebrations.Chloe Kenneally, 11, will be the centre of attention when she is crowned May Queen in a packed town square on May 1.She will be crowned by schoolmate Eloise Copp, 11, and attended by fellow Torrington Junior School pupils Harvey Hill, 10, and Henry D'Alberti-Nicholson, 11, as heralds and young Year 3 attendants Fleur Rickard, Isabelle Webb, Karla Pitcher, Kirsty Brock, Molly Magarotto, Polly Sanders, Megan Gallagher and Tia Ord.While the juniors take centre stage for the May Day ceremony itself, it will be students from the senior school who lead the way in Torrington Carnival, which will bring a colourful end to the week of celebrations on May 3.Amber Ley, 15, of Shebbear has been chosen Carnival Queen, with Keeley Hooper, 15, of Torrington and Kate Williams, 14, of Little Torrington, as her attendants.
