A public consultation is being held in Instow on Friday over plans for 16 new homes in the village.

A public consultation is being held in Instow on Friday over two proposed new housing developments.

Chichester Homes Developments Ltd will be consulting on two parcels of land which are earmarked for housing in the village.

The public consultation on the plans will be held from 3-6pm at the All Saints Community Centre on Friday.

The sites already have outline planning permission to build houses, and the consultation will share further details.

The proposals are for six houses on the site off Anstey Way, and 10 houses on the site off Marine Parade.

The Marine Parade site will include six affordable homes, and the dwellings will be a mixture of two-, three-, and four-bedroom homes.

Peter How, managing director at Chichester Homes Developments, said he hoped a reserved matters planning application would be in by the end of the month.

He added: "If this is successful we hope to start on the sites some time next year."
