Plans to build 12 houses in Prixford have been approved by North Devon Council’s planning committee.

The outline application was originally approved by members in September, but came before the committee again due to a lack of clarity between the planning authority and agent Woodward Smith Architects over how many of the houses would be ‘affordable’.

Of the 12 houses, seven will be open market; three affordable open market and two social rent.

The 1.2 hectare site adjacent to the Ring o’ Bells pub will be accessed from a new road off Prixford Lane and will also include eight public parking spaces to the North West.
